Itau: Largest Braziian Bank - Case Study

In this project, I redesigned the Itaú Empresas corporate banking payment portal, prioritizing the enhancement of the third-party payment workflow for business users. The primary challenge was developing an intuitive system capable of managing intricate payment scenarios while adhering to security and compliance standards. Users required a more user-friendly navigation between payment creation and management. Batch payment processing, while crucial, was a cumbersome feature. Payment status tracking was challenging and frequently resulted in confusion. Notifications regarding pending approvals were easily overlooked.

Problem

The organization operated an antiquated and intricate banking enterprise that ensnared numerous users in a convoluted user experience. To adapt to emerging trends and adopt a new design system, the company embarked on the development of a novel platform for enterprise banking.

Research

We conduct interviews with diverse stakeholders to gather insights into their user journeys. We compile architectural information to identify the most useful tools, experiences, features, and those that can be eliminated. Additionally, we identify the pain points, gains, goals of users, and areas for streamlining. This comprehensive information enables us to simplify the experience across different user journeys for various segments, ensuring the display of the most beneficial tools. During this phase, we develop treat testing and car sorting tests, including the initial wireframe test.

Ideation

Based on the information contained within the gatherer, coupled with the recently implemented Brazilian design system, we are developing a new design for the screens of enterprise banking applications for Colombia and Latin America. This process will commence with low and mid-fidelity wireframes, followed by interviews and testing to refine the design until we reach high-fidelity prototypes.

Design

After a six-month design process with iterative refinement, the team successfully transitioned from an outdated to a clean, interactive, and modern user interface. This transformation resulted in enhanced user usage, increased user loyalty, and improved companies efficiencies.
